Emily A. Kephart

Ms. Kephart is the firm’s Workers’ Compensation Program Manager for Northern California. She began her career in Workers’ Compensation as an adjuster with a national insurance company. She quickly moved up the ranks and later held supervisory and management positions, working with both public entities and private industry. She also worked as a Claims Manager and Risk Analyst for another national insurer, where she managed the Large Loss Team, the Client Services Team, and assisted in orchestrating the success of a $400M loss portfolio transfer. Most recently, she worked in Risk Management for a company that provides risk and insurance services to school districts. Her commitment to consistently learning and growing within the Workers’ Compensation and Risk Management fields has culminated in her continued success in the areas of claims adjusting, case valuation, reserve analysis and management.

Her interests include coaching and playing basketball, reading and playing with her son. She is an avid supporter of her local high school teams.

Professional Activities

Ms. Kephart is designated as a Certified Self Insured Administrator through the State of California, Self Insurance Plan. She also has earned her Associate in Risk Management designation, and is currently working toward her Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.
