Jason H. Bernthol
Mr. Bernthol is an Associate with the firm. With over 14 years of experience in the Workers’ Compensation arena, he has both defended and prosecuted Workers’ Compensation injury claims. Throughout the years, his diverse clientele has included applicants, insurers, third party administrators, and employers, including Fortune 1000 employers and their insurers, as well as various National Football League teams, their insurers, and third party administrators. His reputation as a Workers’ Compensation attorney throughout Southern California and the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Boards is impeccable.
Prior to practicing Workers Compensation Law, Mr. Bernthol specialized in state and federal civil litigation, including Business Litigation, Business Transactions, Intellectual Property, Real Estate Law, Insurance Defense, Commercial Collections, General Casualty Defense, Employment Litigation, Privacy Law, Subrogation, and Cumis Counsel matters. His diverse expertise and enthusiasm in the legal profession is an asset to the Workers’ Compensation team at Brady, Vorwerck, Ryder & Caspino. Mr. Bernthol practices in California.
Mr. Bernthol enjoys playing golf, relaxing outdoors with friends or family, hiking the coastal trails and scenic state parks, listening to live bands and music concerts, and frequenting sporting events to cheer on one of his beloved Los Angeles teams. He is an avid supporter and passionate season ticket holder of the UCLA Bruins and can often be seen hanging out with his father at Dodgers and Lakers games.
Professional Activities
Mr. Bernthol was accepted into the Glass Leadership Institute of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), which assists in safeguarding the global community from discrimination, anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry in the United States and abroad. He is also a member of the Guardians of the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging. In law school, Mr. Bernthol was Advocate Runner-Up and Quarter-Finalist in the Advocate of the Year Moot Court Competition, Editor-in-Chief for the Intellectual Property Law Bulletin, and President of the Intellectual Property Law Association. Mr. Bernthol authored two law review papers: “Copyright Infringement in Cyberspace: On-line Service Provider Liability on the Cyberfrontier”, and “Copyright Infringement in China: Combating Piracy in the International Arena”. Additionally, Mr. Bernthol acquired an Applications Programming Engineer Certificate.
