Kenneth L. Qualls

Mr. Qualls is a Senior Associate at the firm with a strong depth of experience in Personal Injury Defense. He also has handled a wide variety of cases and trials ranging from Asbestos Litigation, Product Liability and Construction Defect to Premises Liability and General Casualty Defense. His other areas of expertise include Automobile Liability Defense, Government Tort Litigation, Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Claims, Insurance Coverage, Professional Liability and Business Litigation. He practices in California.

His interests include golf, backpacking, hiking and reading about American History. He is a great fan of baseball, especially the Angels.

Professional Activities

Mr. Qualls is a member of the Riverside County Bar Association and was formerly an instructor of Torts at California Southern School of Law.

He has tried 11 jury trials and three bench trials to conclusion and has attended hundreds of arbitrations and a thousand or more mediations.

His litigation involvement includes successfully representing a plumber in a home construction defect case who had various allegations against him. During a site inspection numerous instances of homeowner installed or modified plumbing were observed not per building code and BVRC received a dismissal for a waiver of costs.

Another case Mr. Qualls supported involved the construction of a 4 story condominium project next door to an existing apartment building, with the apartment owner suing for alleged damage to the property, trespass and nuisance. The apartment owner was looking for a settlement of several million dollars. At mediation, Mr. Qualls settled the case on behalf of the client (general contractor) for significantly less.
