Susan Sherriff

Ms. Sherriff is an Associate with the firm. She has over 20 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation, which includes 14 years’ experience as applicant’s counsel and 6 & ½ years’ experience as defense counsel.  Throughout her career, she has achieved successful trial results for both applicants and defendants.  While serving as defense counsel, she has represented self-insured employers, including transit districts, school districts, hospitals, hotels and counties.  She has successfully defended Petitions for Increased Benefits Labor Code Section 132a, as well as Petitions for Penalties.  She has a unique perspective and ability to evaluate case issues and propose settlement recommendations.  Through the years, Ms. Sherriff also gained invaluable experience in Asbestos Litigation Defense.  She practices in California.

Her interests include financial markets and cooking.  She enjoys football and boxing and is an avid supporter of the San Francisco 49ers and Ohio State Buckeyes.

Professional Activities

Ms. Sherriff is the former Vice President of the South Alameda County Bar Association.  She is also a member of the Vietnamese Charity for Orphans & Abused Women.
