Tenant sued Landlord for Breach of the Implied Warranty of Habitability; Fraud; Unjust Enrichment; Violation of the Unruh Act (sexual discrimination); and Retaliatory Eviction demanding $5 million in damages. Trial commenced and our motion for directed verdict was granted on the Fraud cause of action prior to the jury returning a 12-0 verdict in favor of our client on all other causes of action. The court subsequently awarded our client attorney's fees and litigation costs.
